Who is the typical Mobitex user?
Velocita’s Mobitex network is most frequently used for machine-to-machine (M2M) communications. Typical areas include remote monitoring and control of alarms, power supply, heaters, gas, water and parking meters. You can also find many users among merchants who use Mobitex as a carrier for credit card validations and transactions.
Today, Velocita’s Mobitex network is widely deployed as a vertical solution for fleet telematics, equipment monitoring, security systems, remote monitoring, payment processing and other applications relevant to the transportation, industrial, buildings, energy and retail segments.

Does Velocita Wireless offer any supplemental coverage?
We absolutely allow for rapid deployment of in-building or campus coverage solutions on customer owned premises. Based on your needs and the economics we are also capable of building out our network to meet the your most demanding needs. Because we own our IP our customized network build-out solutions are guaranteed to be cheaper than our competitors. Additionally, network enhancements can be done in a matter of days so we can meet very demanding time lines.
Is Velocita’s Mobitex network fast enough to meet my needs?
Mobitex employs an effective radio protocol ideal for M2M data transmissions. Because of this, it only takes a few seconds, typically between 3-8 seconds, to perform a credit-card transaction, send a vehicle position or send a message reply. Mobitex users can send and receive messages instantly since there is no need to log in, dial-up or activate a transaction. Our network provides extremely low and predictable latency.
